On tonight’s all new episode of Pretty Little Liars, a very familiar face will return to Rosewood — Spencer’s ex-BF, Toby Cavanaugh! Last we left Toby, he found out that Spencer was dating hot British doc, Wren. The thing is, Spencer totally loves Toby, she was just trying to protect him from “A”!

We recently chatted on the phone with Keegan Allen, who plays Toby, about his return to the show, Toby’s “mission”, and of course, “A”. Check it out here:

Q: Hey, Keegan! We’ve missed you on the show — we’re so glad Toby’s coming back. Can you give us some scoop about what’s going to happen now that he’s returned to Rosewood?

Keegan: He’s on a mission right now. He has reasons for leaving besides finding out that Spencer was dating Wren. He’s dealing with something that will benefit him and Spencer.

Q: Hmm, sounds interesting! Speaking of Spoby, why are you rooting for them to be together?

Keegan: Toby’s very thoughtful — he just really cares a lot about Spencer a lot, and he loves her. And it’s a real love, it’s a real connection that they both share.
